Maddy Adamczak
Maddy Adamczak a junior forward for the Moose Lake-Willow River Rebels had a breakout year this season. Adamczak became a leader by example on the court for the Rebels. She led the Rebels in scoring, averaging 13.7 points and six rebounds per game while shooting nearly 70% from the line. Adamczak was named honorable mention all conference.
Natasha Dragicevich
Natasha Dragicevich senior guard for the Moose Lake-Willow River Rebels was a floor leader for the Rebels under first year head Coach Andrew Miller. Dragicevich is a two time all Polar League conference team member and was named to the first team this season. Dragicevich averaged 13 points per game as well as shooting 33% from beyond the arch.
Sarah Myhre
Sarah Myhre senior forward for the state champion Barnum Bombers played a vital role on this season’s state championship team. Myhre had the uncanny ability to hit the big three-point shot or post up and score inside. Myhre averaged 19.8 points per game while shooting 38% from the three-point line. Myhre was also named honorable mention all-state. |
Sarah Aili
Sarah Aili Senior Guard for the Carlton Bulldogs makes the NSO all-area team for the second consecutive season. Aili, the team leader on the floor for the Bulldogs helped lead Carlton to an 11-17 record this season. Aili averaged 13.8 points per game and 7 rebounds per game for the Bulldogs. Aili was the ball handler for Carlton where her hard work and dedication shined.
Jessica Love
Jessica Love senior post for the Hermantown Hawks helped led Hermantown to the Section Semi-Finals this season. Love, a strong force inside for the Hawks made use of her low post skills which helped Hermantown to a 16-11 overall record this season. Love averaged 13.2 points per game and added 6.5 rebounds per contest as well for the Hawks.
Jessica Newman
Jessica Newman Junior Guard for the Barnum Bombers was a standout this season, coming through with some dominating stats this year. Jessica scored her 1000th point in the Section Finals versus Sebeka. Along with averaging 15.8 points per game, she took over as the go to player when her sister Katrina was sidelined with a injury early in the season. |
Amanda Bergstedt
Amanda Bergstedt senior forward for the Esko Eskomos was a catalyst in the Eskomos success this season helping Esko finish with a 24-6 overall record. Bergstedt averaged 14 points per game while moving the ball on the floor averaging over three assists per game. Bergstedt was named all-state in soccer and participated in the state cross country meet last fall.
Ariana Korpela
Ariana Korpela senior guard from Cromwell is named to her second Northland Sports Online all-area team. Korpela led the Cardinals to a 13-13 record this season while averaging 10.1 points per game and nailed 53 three-pointers this season, shooting 33 percent from beyond the three-point line. She also scored her 1000th point this season against McGregor.
Leah Nordvall
Leah Nordvall senior guard for the Barnum Bombers was the defensive standout for Barnum this season. Night in and night out she was assigned to guard the opponent’s best player and she rose to the occasion each and every time. Nordvall also had a soft touch from the outside, shooting an area best 42% from beyond the three point line. This is Nordvall’s second time being named to the NSO all area team. |
Keely Deadrick
Keely Deadrick junior guard from Esko helped lead the Eskomos to the Section 7AA championship game against Braham. Deadrick set Esko’s all time record for points scored in a single season, finishing with 570 on the year. Deadrick averaged 19.8 points per game with a shooting percentage of 54 percent. She was also named 1st team all-conference in the Polar League.
Annabel Morrisroe
Annabel Morrisroe junior post for the Cloquet Lumberjacks enjoyed a breakout season and proved why she is one of the best inside players in the Northland scoring a total of 546 points. Morrisroe averaged 20.6 points per game while shooting 53% from the field. Morrisroe averaged over 11 rebounds per game and was named honorable mention all-state.
Katie Pappas
Katie Pappas senior forward for the Cloquet Lumberjacks makes the NSO all-area team for the first time this season. Pappas, a starter this season for the first time made the best of her season with all of her hard work and dedication to the Lumberjack girls program. Pappas was relentless on defense and was Cloquet’s second scoring threat at season’s end. |
