Former CEC Standout Gets OT Game Winning Goal
 Dec 10 The Bemidji State University women’s hockey team picked up its first overtime victory of the season downing the Mavericks of Minnesota State 2-1 just 56 seconds into the OT period. Former CEC star defender, junior Montana Vichorek came up huge for the Beavers as she netted the game-winning goal just 56 seconds into overtime and with four seconds left on a BSU power play. Newman Begins UMD Career
Nov 15 DULUTH- Last season the Barnum Bombers captured their first state girls basketball championship which Katrina Newman played a very important part of the Bombers success over the past five years. Newman has now taken her skills and joined the UMD Bulldogs Women’s Basketball team. In her first Bulldog game she helped contribute in the 67-51 win over Northern Michigan University. Read more

Proctor Alum To Play Womens Soccer at UWS
Apr 18 Yellowjacket women's soccer coach Melissa Nelmark has announced that Syna Graber, a transfer from Lake Superior College has committed to play soccer for the Yellowjackets beginning in the fall of 2011. A native of Proctor, Minn., Graber didn't play last season while attending LSC. She is the fourth recruit to commit to the team for 2011. Read more

Apr 11 Former Hermantown standout and UMD rookie Megan Mullen pitched a one-hit, 13-strikeout shutout while handing Augustana College its first Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference loss of the spring and helping the University of Minnesota Duluth split its two-game set with the Vikings on Monday.
