Eskomos Boys Lose Close Battle In Final Seconds
Jan 31, 2012 The Esko Eskomos lost as Sam Humes nailed a shot with seven seconds remaining in regulation to give the Denfeld Hunters a 55-54 win Tuesday night on the road. The Eskomos, who had trailed most of the game, went ahead late in the game on two free throws from Marc Peterson but the shot by Humes gave the Hunters the one point victory. Read more

Lindquist's Jumper Gives Esko 61-59 Win Over Moose Lake-Willow River
Jan 14, 2012 WILLOW RIVER - Jackson Lindquist has accomplished a lot in his time on the Esko boys basketball team including scoring his 1000th point earlier this year. One thing Lindquist had never done in his time on the varsity team was beat the Moose Lake-Willow River Rebels. That all changed Saturday night in Willow River when he hit a jump shot with four seconds left in regulation to give the Eskomos a 61-59 win. Read more
Braham Two Points Better In Clash Of State Ranked Teams
Jan 3, 2012 ESKO - It isn’t every day that a highly touted event meets, let alone exceeds its lofty billing; but that is exactly what happened when the 8-0 Esko Eskomos met the 10-1 Braham Bombers for a girls basketball matchup Tuesday night in Esko. Lindquist Hits 1000pt Plateau In Esko Win
Dec 22, 2011 Jackson Lindquist reached a milestone on Thursday night; the senior guard who needed only two points to reach the 1000 point mark did it in style a mere :38 seconds into the game. Lindquist drained a 3-pointer that gave him 1001 points for his career and also gave the Eskomos a lead as they picked up their sixth straight win by a score of 70-54. Read more

Dec 19, 2011 If not for a last second basket in the opening game of the year the Esko Eskomos could be 5-0 instead of 4-1. The Eskomos reeled off their fourth straight win Monday night in a sectional battle against the Deer River Warriors and the Eskomos knocked off the previous unbeaten Warriors by a score of 67-45. Trapp Reaches 1000 Career Points Against Proctor
Jan 16, 2012 Savannah Trapp scored her 1,000th point and the Esko girls basketball team, ranked #5 in the state, handled Proctor 77-29 on Monday night in Esko. For the night Trapp finished with 31 points and she added six rebounds four blocks for the Eskomos who improved to 11-1 on the season. Proctor managed just 10 first half points against the Eskomos. Esko Boys Split In Wood City Classic
Dec 28, 2011 The Esko boys basketball team suffered a tough first round loss at the Wood City Classic in Cloquet on Tuesday. The Eskomos saw a tight game get away from them and fell 65-49 to Blake. On Wednesday the Eskomos made sure there was no repeat of the opening game by trouncing East Central 94-42 in their second game of the tournament held annually in Cloquet. Read more

Dec 18, 2011 Congratulations to the Esko 7th Grade Girl’s Travel Team on their recent first place finish in the 20th Annual Spirit of the North Youth Basketball tournament hosted by DYBA (Duluth Youth Basketball Association) on November 19th and 20th. Dec 15, 2011 The Esko Eskomos boys and girls basketball teams were both victorious Thursday night over Cook County in a boys and girls doubleheader on the Coaches versus Cancer night at Esko High School. The girls basketball team defeated the Vikings 57-41 in the first game of the night and the Esko boys defeated the Vikings by a score of 59-40. Read more

Eskomos Get First Ever State Tournament Volleyball Win
Nov 12, 2011 The Esko Eskomos fell Saturday in the girl’s consolation finals at the Xcel energy center as the Eskomos closed out another very successful season. Friday the Eskomos defeated Visitation by a score of 3-2 but the fell Saturday to Sauk Center in three straight games to finish sixth overall in the girls 2011 state class AA tournament.
