Hawks Come Within A Run Of Repeat
June 12 MANKATO- Hermantown pitcher Megan Mullen had thoughts of a second state championship to cap off her softball career at Hermantown High School. Mullen was a dominant force for the Hawks for the past several seasons and led them to the state championship in 2009. However, this season it was Park Center that capitalized and came away with a 2-1 win at Caswell Park in North Mankato. Read more
7AA Softball Title To Be Decided Today

June 3 CLOQUET - They've been here before. A year ago the Hermantown girls softball team faced elimination in the Section 7AA softball tournament after losing to Virginia. The Hawks bounced back to win back-to-back games and the Section 7AA title. Less than a week later, the Hawks won the Class AA Minnesota State High School Girls Softball Championship in Mankato. If the Hawks are going to get a chance to defend their state title they will need to win two games against Duluth Central today. Read more
Krause Selected First Overall In USHL Draft
May 19 Hermantown senior Adam Krause was selected first overall Wednesday afternoon in the United States Hockey League draft. Krause, a senior forward who is scheduled to play hockey at UMD this upcoming season, was selected by the Chicago Steel. Read more |
Arrowhead United Soccer Finishes Second In State

Aug 2 The Arrowhead United boys U-17 soccer team recently took second place at the Minnesota Youth Soccer Association State Tournament held in Coon Rapids. Arrowhead United is comprised of players from Hermantown, Proctor and Duluth Denfeld. Read more
Hermantown Wins LSC All-Sports Championship
June 7 Hermantown has won the Lake Superior Conference All-Sports Championship again this year for the 2009-2010 high school athletic season. The All-Sports championship gives points based on where a team finishes in the LSC standings for each sport a high school is involved in. Superior was second, Cloquet took third followed by Ashland, Denfeld, Central, Marshall and Proctor. Read more
Hermantown Rolls Rails In Section 7AA Playoffs
May 27 COHASSET- Hermantown continued on their quest to defend their state Class AA title when, on Thursday afternoon, they rolled over Proctor 11-1 in five innings. The Hawks exploded for five runs in the bottom of the first inning and never looked back as they cruised into the Section 7AA semifinals at Braun Park in Cloquet. Read more

May 23 The Hermantown Hawks golf team won the Virginia Invitational on Saturday at the Wilderness Golf Course in Tower, Minnesota. Hermantown bested eleven other schools, including two from Ontario, Canada. Read more |
