Proctor Boys Fall In State Quarterfinals

A four run fourth inning by the Fairmont Cardinals blew open a 2-1 game, handing the Proctor Rails a 6-1 quarterfinal loss at Dick Putz Field in St. Cloud on Thursday morning.  The Rails will now compete for a consolation championship tropy, starting with a game against St. Anthony Village at 10:00am Friday at Joe Faber Field.

Proctor Alum To Play Womens Soccer at UWS

  Yellowjacket women's soccer coach Melissa Nelmark has announced that Syna Graber, a transfer from Lake Superior College has committed to play soccer for the Yellowjackets beginning in the fall of 2011. A native of Proctor, Minn., Graber didn't play last season while attending LSC. She is the fourth recruit to commit to the team for 2011.

  HERMANTOWN - When a #4 seed matches up against the #5 seed in the playoffs of any sport, a terrific game is nearly guaranteed. Such was the case on Thursday night in Hermantown when Proctor-Hermantown-Marshall squared off against the Duluth Northern Stars in Section 7AA girls playoff hockey. In a tight back and forth match-up Reilly Fawcett scored just: 16 seconds into the third period to give the Mirage a 2-1 win.

The Hawks are undefeated as are the hometown Eskomos and Hermantown appears to be a team to be reckoned with after picking up their sixth straight season by on Monday by beating Proctor 70-39.

Proctor Boys Wrap Up Most Successful Season In School History

  ST. CLOUD – The Proctor Rails baseball team put the wraps on the most successful baseball season in school history on Friday at Joe Faber Field in St. Cloud. In the Consolation Semi-Finals the Rails beat St. Anthony Village by a 4-1 margin to advance to the Consolation championship where they lost to Delano by a 5-1 score.

  MOOSE LAKE - The second period was a wild affair on Tuesday night between the Proctor Rails and the Moose Lake Area Rebels boys hockey teams. Proctor came in averaging 5.4 goals per game while MLA averaged 4.5. As anticipated, the contest lived up to its billing with five goals scored in the second period of a game that eventually saw Proctor skate away to a 5-3 victory.

“It's why we play the game. Anything is possible, anything can happen, and we proved that again tonight.” – Casey Korkus.   Proctor soccer started as a club team funded by the community in 1991. Parents would provide the main funding for these clubs. Through the persistent determination of the people, soccer began to flourish. With expanding involvement, accomplishments, and hard work, the clubs were eventually established as official teams supported by the school in 1993.

Rails Draw #1 Seed in State Soccer Tournament

  Just days after celebrating the Section 7a Championship and earning a trip to the state tournament, the Proctor boys soccer team learned the first stop on that trip will be #1 seed unbeaten Prairie Seeds Academy. PSA is a charter school in Brooklyn Park with a 9-12 enrollment of 121 and a total k-12 enrollment of 740. Although there are expansion plans, boys soccer is currently its only high school sport.
