  The Combined efforts of Proctor and Hermantown were enough to overcome four first place finishes by Kayla Whipple of Cloquet-Esko-Carlton as the Rails win the dual meet in Cloquet Thursday afternoon. The final margin of victory was six points as Proctor-Hermantown wins by a final score of 50-44.

With six meets remaining before the Lake Superior Conference swim meet, the Cloquet-Esko-Carlton girls swim team is busy preparing for a strong stretch run.

The Cloquet-Esko-Carlton girls swim team has a new coach and a whole new outlook coming into the fall season. First-year coach Stacia Schacht graduated from White Bear Lake High School and then continued her swimming in college at Wisconsin-Lacrosse where she participated in the NCAA Nationals in 2006.

  The Lake Superior Conference named its 2010 All-Conference seim team with several members of the Proctor-Hermantown girls swim team receiving top honors.

  The National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) Swimming and Diving Rules Committee approved changes to Rule 3-2-2 on Tuesday, August 11th, making the high-tech swimsuits illegal for swimmers at the high school level.
