  Hermantown left little doubt as to their dominance over Cloquet-Esko-Carlton in boys tennis on Friday. The Hawks defeated the Jacks 6-1 with CEC's lone win coming at #1 doubles by Jake Sorenson and Chase Pritchett.

  The Hermantown Hawks took three of four singles matches en-route to a 5-2 win in boys tennis over Superior on Thursday afternoon. Hermantown has been playing consistent tennis as of late, picking up its third straight conference win on Thursday.

  The Hermantown Hawks picked up their first win of the season in boys tennis after dropping their first two matches. The Hawks lost to Superior and Grand Rapids. The Hawks then rebounded to down the Duluth Denfeld Hunters 4-3.

  The Cloquet Esko Carlton boy’s tennis team opened 2-0 to start this spring sport season. The Lumberjacks went 2-0 by defeating Duluth Central by a score of 6-1 at Duluth Central High School. The Lumberjacks got past Eveleth-Gilbert in their first match of the 2010 season on Tuesday.

The season is winding down for the Cloquet-Esko-Carlton boys tennis team. After a smooth and quick start to the season, the Jacks have had a tough time lately as they face some of the more difficult teams in the area. On Wednesday night, the Jacks dropped a 5-2 decision to Grand Rapids/Greenway.

  Hermantown pulled off a big upset in boys tennis on Thursday afternoon. The Hawks came into their Section 7A first-round match against Duluth Marshall as a definitive underdog, but the end result was Hermantown taking a 4-3 decision over the Hilltoppers.

  The Hermantown Hawks are slowly building toward a top program in the circles of boys tennis in the Northland. The Hawks fell Eveleth-Gilbert, a traditional power, 5-2 on Monday. They then took a tough 4-3 loss at the hands of Aitkin on Wednesday.

  The Cloquet-Esko-Carlton boys tennis team took on one of the area’s top ranked teams in Virginia on Thursday and dropped a 6-1 decision to the Blue Devils. John Scheuer provided the only highlight for the Jacks by taking a win at #4 singles.

  The Hermantown Hawks rebounded after a loss to Pine City last week to beat the Trojans in a Lake Superior Conference meet on Tuesday. The Hawks move to 2-1 in conference play with the win at Duluth Central. The Hawks topped the Trojans 6-1 on the afternoon.
