Amsoil Speedway Hosts Sprint Cars & Pure Stocks

  SUPERIOR, WI - Dave Blaney took the lead at the halfway point and held on for the victory in the 30 lap All Star Circuit of Champions Sprint Car race at Amsoil Speedway in Superior on Thursday night.  Dustin Foulett of Cloquet edged out Austin Blom by a bumper at the checkered flag to win the 1st Annual Pure Adrenaline Pure Stock Invitational to claim the victory and accompanying $500.00 paycheck.

  PROCTOR - Proctor Speedway’s Mid-Summer Mayhem proved to be all that and then some on Saturday night. A standing room only crowd of 3000 plus watched on as pretty much anything with a motor got raced and wrecked. The show included Proctor Pure Stock and school bus racing as well as waterless boat and trailer races.

Copp Wins At Amsoil

  Superior, WI - At the start of the 25 lap WISSOTA Late Model feature Jeff Provinzino made a daring move splitting the front row starters Don Copp and Tim McMann to take the lead but only briefly as Copp wouldn't be denied the lead, retrieved the point and was "off to the races". Provinzino began to close on Copp as Darin Meierotto ran third, Caley Emerson fourth and McMann and Harry Hanson battled for fifth.

Bellefeuille Brothers Sweep At Proctor

  Proctor, MN - It was a hot night for the Bellefeuille brothers at the Proctor Speedway as they both posted feature wins. Older brother Jody swept the Modified action winning his second feature of the season and the younger won his second Super Stock feature of the season. For Jody Bellefeuille it was a great comeback as the #11 Modified was heavily damage the week before in a wreck near the end of the Modified feature. For Mike Bellefeuille it was a continuation of a great weekend that saw him win everything he entered at the two day Governor’s Cup at the Hibbing Raceway.

Ashley Smith Makes Racing History

  Having the opportunity to be a part of making history is something that usually comes once in a lifetime, if at all, for most people. By hard work and dedication to her sport, Ashley Smith of South Range, Wisconsin put herself in a position to take advantage of that opportunity. On Wednesday night Smith became the first ever female feature winner at Amsoil Speedway in Superior.

Proctor Speedway Hosts American Cancer Society Night

  Proctor - Sunday night July 17 was the fourth annual American Cancer Society Relay For Life event at the Proctor Speedway honoring the late Clayton Schwarzkopf, a man who loved racing and spent much of his time helping out at the speedway. His favorite class of cars was the WISSOTA Modified so the Memorial Race featured those cars. His son Jon did a yeoman job garnering donations from individuals and businesses to increase the Modified purse. Those donations added to the weekly purse increased the amount to $10,000 which drew 26 cars for the Sunday night race.

Estey Scores Big Triple Win Bonus, Carlton's Loucks Wins Third Feature of the Season

  PROCTOR - It was a huge payday for Midwest Modified driver Skeeter Estey Sunday at the Proctor Speedway. Estey won the 20 lap Midwest Modified feature Sunday night, which was worth $1400 to the Kelly Lake, MN driver. There is a bonus put up by the area tracks that pays a driver who is able to win three feature events at three different tracks in the same weekend. The bonus is cumulative and keeps getting bigger when no one is able to pull off the three feature wins.

  The once postponed "At the track with the Classics" get together at the Proctor Speedway was a rousing success. Many former racers came Sunday afternoon to catch up on old times and view the vintage race cars from the Northern Vintage Stock Car Racers club, who put on a show later in the day.

June 19 Proctor Races Cancelled

 Like in Superior on Friday, the Sunday June 19 races at the Proctor Speedway are cancelled due to dense fog and wet conditions.  In addition to the regular program, vintage races were on the docket. Regular racing will resume on Sunday June 26.

June 17 Racing At Amsoil Speedway Cancelled

  Due to dense fog and wet conditions, the races at Amsoil Speedway will be cancelled tonight. Make-up features for Modifieds and Pure Stocks that were scheduled for June 17 will be held on June 24.

Dale Honkala of Cloquet Sweeps School Bus Races

  Proctor, MN - Another clear but cool Sunday evening greeted a full grandstands at the Proctor Speedway for the weekly show plus School Bus Races. Dale Honkala from Cloquet completed the sweep, winning both the heat and feature races with a V-8 powered school bus.

Dustin Follett of Cloquet Wins for Second Night in a Row

  SUPERIOR, WI - Joey Jensen of Forest Lake, MN won his fifth Modified feature of the season at AMSOIL Speedway to all but wrap up the 2011 championship.  Dustin Follett of Cloquet added a few points to his Pure Stock point lead with his fifth feature win of the season. Ashley Smith of South Range, WI finished fifth in the feature sending the Pure Stock point race down to the wire.

Nelson Doubles Up At Proctor

  PROCTOR, MN - Darrell Nelson doubled up for the second time this season winning his third features of the season in both the WISSOTA Modifieds and Late Models. Scott Lawrence won his fourth Super Stock feature of the season adding to his point lead. Danny Vang of Brainerd, MN won the Midwest Modified feature for the second time in three weeks and Austin Blom topped the very competitive Pure Stock feature.

Peterlin Wins Late Models, 28 Pure Stocks Compete At Proctor

  Proctor, MN - Kyle Peterlin won his second WISSOTA Late Model feature of the season at the Proctor Speedway Sunday. Peterlin joins other Sunday winners who have multiple victories including Darrell Nelson, Modified, Dan Ebert Midwest Modified and Jeff Tardy, Super Stock. Mark Korte won his first Pure Stock feature of the season. 95 cars were on hand, including 28 pure stocks to compete in the five divisions.

Proctor Speedway Twin 25 Results

  Darrell Nelson and Kerry Hanson each won a 25 lap Late Model feature in the annual Twin Ports Twin 25's event. Each 25 lap race paid the winner $1500 and only those who qualified for the first race ran the second. Each of the four heat races advanced four drivers to the first feature. The rest of the field was filled out by advancing four drivers from each of the two B Features for a 24 car field.

  SUPERIOR, WI - Solon Spring's Brady Smith who cut his racing teeth on the local race tracks before moving on to the national stage, returned home Thursday night July 20 to win the $2000 WISSOTA Dart Machinery Challenge Series event at AMSOIL Speedway. Smith advanced from starting 21st out of 26 cars to win the event.
