Locals Compete At Ely Nordic Invite

  The Cloquet-Esko-Carlton, and Proctor-Hermantown’s Boys and Girls Nordic Ski team competed in the Ely Timberwolves invite Friday at Snowflake Hidden Valley Nordic Center in Ely. The Timberwolves invite featured 283 skiers that represented 12 high schools in both high school and junior high school divisions.

Michaelson Second For CEC Ski Team

  Cloquet-Esko-Carlton's  Alyssa Michaelson finished second in the girls nordic combined meet Monday night at Snowflake Nordic Ski Center in Duluth. Michaelson’s second place finish put Cloquet-Esko-Carlton ahead of Proctor through a tie breaker.

Goessling Captures Section 7 Nordic Title

  Raleigh Goessling captured the Section 7 Nordic ski championship Thursday at Giants Ridge in Biwabik, Minnesota. Goessling, coming off of a trip from Sweden where he was competing in the world junior biathlon, defeated his nearest competitor by over forty-one seconds Thursday afternoon.

Two CEC Skiers Named All-Conference

  The 2009-2010 Lake Superior Conference has named it's 2009-2010 All-Conference ski team, with CEC placing two of it's young rising stars on the list.  Sophomore Alyssa Michaelson was joined by freshman Molly Meysembourg in receiving this prestigious award.
